And this is just the beginning . . . .  it’s the third in a series of paintings telling the story of humans spending time with their dogs in the outdoors whether it be in the local park or in the middle of a chaotic urban environment.

Personally, I thoroughly enjoy walking in the park near where I live and saying hello to the dogs and owners I come across. Most of the time I tend to stop and pat the dog, ask the human for the dog’s name and carry on a conversation while I continue showing affection for the dog. It’s always such a pleasure when I see the same dog again on a future walk.

People have asked me if I have a dog of my own. I usually laugh and say something like, “No but I thank you for allowing me to spend some time with yours.”
